Who would like to make extra cash? Not only does extra cash come in handy for the holidays, it’s just good to have all-year-round. Please note that earning extra cash is the key. You will be working. If you are prone to whining and complaining, you may want to close this blog and find something else to read!

Many people think that because some jobs are fun (being an extra in a movie), they do not have to abide by the rules and regulations that are established. This is the furthest thing from the truth. A job is a job. You must adhere to the dress code, hours, and code of conduct established by the organization.

5 Ways to Make Extra Cash

  1. Be an extra in a movie. This can be fun and exciting. You may be cast as a “principal extra” and make more money than the “average” extra. Follow the rules such as no taking pictures or speaking to the actors.
  2. Work seasonal jobs. Many retailers look for seasonal employers. Hours are usually at night and on the weekends. If you can give up some nights and weekends, you can be rolling in the money!
  3. Freelance blogger or writer. Become a freelance blogger or writer. Some writing jobs pay as much as $20 per blog or $100 per article.
  4. Sell health and wellness products. The health and wellness industry is a multi-billion dollar industry. You could become part of a network-marketing group of an organization that sells health and wellness products. You could make hundreds and thousands of dollar each month.
  5. Affiliate marketing. If you have a blog, this is a great way to make extra cash. The drawback to affiliate marketing is that it can take some time to build up the income before it’s released to you.

You would be surprised how many people complain about being an “extra” in a movie. When you are cast as an extra, expect to wait around for the day. Filming a movie is not a speedy process! Instead of complaining about sitting and waiting, be grateful for being cast in the film. You never know what may come of it. And — you could be in the presence of “A-list” actors. How cool would it be to see these actors do what they do best? Think of the story you will have to tell family and friends!

Finally, these are some ways you can make extra cash. No matter what you do, remember that you will be working. Drop your problems at the door and pick them up when you leave. Your employer does not want to hear you complain and whine. Be grateful you found a job and that you will earn extra cash.

Do you know what is in your shampoo and conditioner? It’s amazing how many chemicals go into a shampoo and conditioner. Did you know that those chemicals are absorbed into your body? Have you ever noticed any breakouts on your forehead or face? Those breakouts (any type of acne) could be caused by the shampoo and conditioner you are using.

Natural and organic products do exist. The key is knowing where to find them and which ones will work best for you. Start by researching the internet for natural and organic hair products. If you have a farmers market or a Whole Food Market in your area, ask for assistance.

Synthetics to Look For in Shampoo and Conditioner

  1. Methyl, Propyl, Butyl, and Ethyl Paraben.
  2. Diethanolamine (DEA), Triethanolamine (TEA).
  3. Diazolidinyl Urea, Imidazolidinyl Urea.
  4. Sodium Lauryl / Laureth Sulfate.
  5. Petrolatum.
  6. Propylene Glycol.
  7. PVP/VA Copolymer.
  8. Steralkonium Chloride.
  9. Synthetic Colors.
  10. Synthetic Fragrances.

These ingredients are prevalent in shampoos and conditioners. Methyl is used to extend the shelf life of products. DEA is used in cosmetics to produce the “foaming” action of a product. It can cause allergic reactions, eye irritations, or dry hair and skin. DEA can be toxic if it’s absorbed into the body over an extended period of time.

Another cheap detergent that is used as a “foaming agent” is sodium lauryl/laureth sulfate. This is derived from petroleum! Buyer beware because it’s usually disguised as “comes from coconuts” in so-called natural cosmetics.

To make cosmetics look pretty, “synthetic colors” are added to products. Look for FD&C and D&C which will be followed by a color. An example is: FD&C Red No. 6. While you’re at it, watch out for “synthetic hair dyes” because they’re bad for you as well.

Synthetic fragrances used in cosmetics, shampoos, and conditioners can have as many as 200 ingredients. They can cause headaches, a rash, vomiting, dizziness, skin irritation, and coughing. If you read the label on a shampoo bottle and it contains the word “fragrance,” you may want to put it back on the shelf.

It seems that parents are “driving and dumping” their children to “safe drop-off zones” in the state of Nebraska. Apparently, Nebraska will be revisiting its safe haven law. Who knew that Nebraska had a safe-haven law?

According to an article posted on CNN.com, “parents are rushing to drop-off their teenage children at hospitals before lawmakers change the state’s troubled safe haven law.” The law does not have an age limit, but that is about to change.

A man from Miami, FL flew to Nebraska to leave his teenage son at a Nebraska hospital. A mother drove from Georgia to drop-off her teenage son. Talk about taking advantage of the dropping gas prices!

Perhaps Super Nanny can cruise to Nebraska and help the state straighten-out its safe haven law. When she’s finished with that issue, she can help all of the parents in the United States of America who cannot handle their children.

It would behoove men and woman in the United States of America to think twice before they decide to have children. Many people are messed up because of their childhood experiences. Instead of working on themselves, they jump into marriage or into bed with any man or woman and then reproduce. Please stop reproducing now! The world is not suffering from a shortage of people.

Being a parent in real life is different from what the situation comedies or dramas portray on television. Issues are not resolved at the end of 30 or 60 minutes! Moms and dads usually work more than 40 hours per week. Of course, some have financial debt that is crushing them emotionally, mentally, and physically. Most kids do not know what is going on because their parents do not tell them.

If we would teach our children the importance of birth control and abstinence, we would not read about how parents are taking advantage of the safe haven law in Nebraska. Furthermore, if we would incorporate teachings from Napoleon Hill, Eckhart Tolle, and the countless others who believe in “changing your thoughts, to change your life,” we would not hear of disturbing news such as parents driving to another state to “drop-off” their kids.

Perhaps, it’s time to make parenting classes mandatory for those who would like to reproduce. If couples pass the class, they can reproduce; if they don’t pass, well that’s life. Don’t even think about adopting a pet! If couples are not suitable to be parents, there’s no way they’ll be able to take care of a pet. They’re just as much responsibility as children are, if not more!

Maybe the government of the United States of America could get involved; they’re involved in everything else. The government could construct special drop-off centers for children. Parents can drop-off their kids and relinquish all of their rights. If they can’t raise them, allow other people to do so. Children deserve to be raised in a loving, stable environment versus one that is negative and unstable.

It’s know wonder why the world is in such turmoil. As a collective conscious we are creating situations in our lives that are not pleasant. It’s about time people start to take a good, long, and hard look at their lives. Men and women could question whether or not it’s a good idea to have children from an emotional and mental perspective. If the answer is “I’m not sure” or a resounding “NO,” then do not have children.

As human beings the urge to reproduce is in us. If men and women can’t take care of themselves, there’s no way they’ll be able to raise children. It takes more than love and finances to raise children. Emotional and mental stability is crucial. For those that grew up in abusive situations, the cycle will continue one way or another. Do not be fooled into thinking that “things will be different.” Unless help is sought to straighten out those inner demons that are still in control, the cycle will repeat with each generation.

If people do not change their mindset, we’re all going to suffer for it. Unfortunately, children are innocent victims that because their parents did not have someone to show them the way to salvation. The time is now to work on the inside so that the outside will be peaceful, calm, productive, and harmonious for all of us.

Many women diet to lose weight. The problem is they usually gain the weight back with an additional 10 pounds! Diets do not work. When you restrict yourself from foods that you enjoy, chances are you’re going to binge. This means you could end up eating an entire cheese pizza! Not only will you probably get sick, but you’ll feel guilty.

Men do not diet. They’re not about to give up anything — men do not berate themselves if the mess up. They’re going to enjoy a meal of meat and potatoes. However, the next day they’re back to watching their caloric intake.

If men have a craving, it’s usually for a juicy T-Bone steak. Women crave sweets such as chocolate cake. The steak is filling, whereas chocolate cake will not fill you up. Therefore, grab the low-fat string cheese, turkey roll-up, or cottage cheese with fruit. The alternative is a chocolate covered or peanut butter chocolate energy bar. The calories range from 210 and up. The key factor is that it will fill you up.

To keep from overeating, men will usually go for a run, play a round of basketball, shoot pool, or do some activity that they enjoy. Women on the other hand will do dishes, dust and vacuum, or some other activity that they do not enjoy. Before they know it, they’re overcome with feelings of disgust and aggravation.

Women, it’s time to do something you love instead of something that is seen as a chore. Do you draw, paint, or sing?   1. Use heavier weights. Ladies leave the 5 lb. weights on the shelf. The heavier the weights the better. Start with 10 lb. weights and build-up from that point.
  2. Food is not a counselor. Find out why you reach for food when you’re emotional. When you eat that slice of cheesecake, you think you’ll feel better, but chances are whatever it is that you’re feeling will resurface at a later date. Tackle the issue right now instead of stuffing your feelings with food.
  3. Crave sweets — replace them with proteins. Keep low-fat string cheese in the refrigerator. Chicken and turkey are great to have on hand. Other alternatives are natural or organic peanut butter, nuts, legumes, or cottage cheese and fruit. If you have a craving for something for sweet such as chocolate, have a protein or energy bar. One will probably be enough!
  4. Do not obsess over the scale. Many women are freaked out by the scale. Weigh yourself once to three times a week! Let your clothes measure your progress. Loose fitting clothes will indicate that you’re losing inches and pounds.
  5. Deprivation is a big no-no. Do not deprive yourself the foods that you like. Try to incorporate them each week. Instead of eating the entire cookie eat half one day and save the other half for another day. Negotiation can be your friend, be diplomatic about your food choices.
  6. Do something nice for yourself. Get a massage, manicure, or pedicure. Men do stuff for themselves all of the time. They’re not about to give up their season tickets to their favorite sports team or the round of golf.
  7. Go within to understand why food comforts you. Understand why you eat the way you do. Learning to deal with issues that are you’re holding inside will benefit you in the long run. The more you put off dealing with issues, the more susceptible you are to sabotaging your weight loss.

Women if you follow these 7 steps, you’ll lose weight and keep it off. Stop beating yourself up if you happen to go over your calories one day; it’s all right. You can best believe that men do not ever beat themselves if they take in more calories. They get over it, very quickly, and so can you! Pick yourself up and start again tomorrow. There are many books on the Law of Attraction. It all started with a little book called The Secret. Since the book and DVD came out, there have been many other books to pop-up in bookstores everywhere. This is not a new topic. Many people such as Napoleon Hill, Charles Haanel, and others wrote about the same topic approximately 70 years ago!

The world can be a topsy-turvy place to live, especially for those who feel they’ve been dropped onto planet Earth! With so much that happens in our lives on a daily basis, it’s no wonder the world is so chaotic. If it’s true that thoughts become things and we are all part of the collective consciousness, it’s no wonder that we’ve become disconnected from one another.

Are the thoughts positive or negative? Do they revolve around family, work, finances, society, or friends? You may want to hire a life coach to help you to get to the root of issues in your life.
  4. Practice deep breathing exercises. These can be done while sitting down or standing up. Cleansing breaths are proven to be effective to aid in the flow of blood, increases digestion, improves the health of the nervous system, and much more!

    The next time you go to the grocery store — smile at everyone you see while thinking of a happy thought; it could be of a vacation you took, your kids, the fact that you just received a raise; anything that makes you feel happy. Observe peoples reaction to you. You may be surprised on how pleasant people can be.

    The next day, go somewhere else and do the opposite, be in a bad mood but not nasty! Watch how people react to you. You’ll be amazed at the results. Many people believe that water is a good way to rid the body of toxins such as negative energy – it’s not just for flushing the fat out of your system!

    We do have the power to choose our thoughts on a daily basis. People often seek the answer to happiness. The answer is this: just be happy — choose to be happy. It’s that simple. You have a choice to be either happy or sad.

    Sometimes, we create unnecessary dramas in our lives that would give William Shakespeare a run for his money. Many people do this because it makes them feel alive. Others do it because it’s what they’ve been doing — it’s what is familiar and comfortable. Make the decision today to gain control over your mind, tomorrow live a better life!

On November 4, 2008 many Americans drove, walked, or took the bus to vote for the next President of The United States of America. This is a very important election year. After eight years of chaos (not organized) the time arrived to elect a new president.

Isn’t it interesting that in the 21st century Americans still vote using an old school method. This was the first election for Americans who reached 18 years of age. These are the same people who play video games such as Nintendo Wii, Guitar Hero, text message, have an IPod or MP3, and are up-to-date with the latest technologies. Imagine their shock when they had to use a black-tipped felt pen to connect the arrow for their chosen candidate. It reminded me of when my mom used to buy me coloring books and they had connect the dots within the pages!

For those people, such as myself, who moved to another state, this was an experience of a lifetime. You see here in Arizona, apparently rules and regulations are not followed. In fact, according to the woman standing behind me “voting is not taken that seriously in Arizona as compared to Ohio.” She said this because I made a comment about voting in Ohio. Perhaps this is just her opinion but it did raise a red flag with me. more…
