Remember, You Take Yourself Everywhere

I flew out of Phoenix’s Sky Harbor Airport on March 20. OMG! It was another “Amazing Race” moment. I could have really used a pair of Skechers. I will be purchasing another pair, SOON!

Anyway, the line to go through security was a “slow” go and it “snaked” along the wall. Oh! Well. At least the line was moving. A security guard was reminding passengers to put “liquids” in the proper clear plastic bag. He also reminded us that this includes lipstick, lip gloss, lotion, etc…Uh! Oh! I forgot that I had my lip gloss and a “travel sized” lotion in my purse. So, I took a bag and put my two items in it. Funny! Will that “plastic bag” save you? Think about it. If you are constantly negative, whining, and complaining, that plastic bag will not save you. You take yourself everywhere, this means your “consciousness” goes where you go. Therefore, you will get back the energy that you put out. Always negative, then you can expect negativity to follow you everywhere. It’s that simple. You attract what you think about; aka law of attraction. Will you take that plastic bag with you when you are driving on the road? It’s just something to think about. Continue reading

A Dog is More Than Man’s Best Friend

OMG! I’m so happy to be back in OH to see my family and friends. Life is good! I really missed my family, especially my mom and the DOG! Back in Arizona, I live in an apartment. I could get a dog because I work from home. But, I will be picking up “extra income” which means I’ll be away from home for a couple of hours each day. I’ve been thinking about purchasing a condo or townhouse with a small yard or at least one with a lot of “greenery.” This way the dog could run and play. But then again, I do have many “dog parks” near me in Arizona. Hmmm…

Anyway, our family dog is a “very independent” Yorkie-Poo named Harriet. She is something. Harriet turns 10 years old in April. You wouldn’t know it by the way she acts. Hey, kind of like people who do not “act” their age. They may be 40 years old but act like their 5 years old by throwing a “temper” tantrum. Just kidding! I digress. I really missed Harriet! When I walked in the door on Thursday, March 20, Harriet was there to greet me. I wondered if she would remember me; she did. She is a great dog. Harriet hears things we do not. She is a fabulous watch dog. I think I will Shop at PetSmart and buy her a “treat.”

Harriet also knows what she desires. For example, if she wants a treat she will not give up until she receives it. She asks for her treat by standing by the long cupboard where they are kept; she wags her tail and barks. Does Harriet receive her treat? Yes she does! This is a great lesson to learn. Never give up! Go after what you desire with fervor and you shall receive it. Ask and ye shall receive!

Technology Blues

Oy! So, I am working on my website, again!!! This is totally “blowing” my mind. I am not, repeat not, a “techie” person. I know computers from the user end point, not from the “programming” side. Who knew that you need ALL OF THIS PROGRAMMING to do a “simple” little thing, for example; click on an OK button. Are you freakin’ kidding me? What’s the deal?

Thank God for my friends Laura and The Real Tech Kitten (aka Trisha). I will definitely being asking for their HELP!!. At least these two women know what they are doing and can actually explain things. Trust me, I have been all over the TUTORIALS that people offer, but some people forget that there are those like myself who are starting their own website; ie; ONLINE BUSINESS! HELLO!

Thank God when I buy a laptop, all I’ll have to do is “plug” it in and load any software I purchase. I just viewed Dell’s Home and Home Office site. Dell has some nice looking laptops. Of course, you can’t beat their Desktop computers. I was looking at the XPS and Gaming Laptop (I do like my games). Decisions, decisions. Anyway, if you are in the market for a new laptop or desktop visit Dell at Dellâ„¢ Home.

Speed Dating and Me

On February 18, I went to a speed dating event at my apartment complex. I know this blog is a little late. Sorry! Anyway, the event was FREE! That was very nice and unexpected. Most speed dating events can cost anywhere from $25-$50!

The “basics” of speed dating. First, you start with a name tag and number. Second, the woman take their seat at their numbered table and remain seated; the guys move. Third, you write the person’s name on the sheet of paper that is given to you. Fourth, you are given a set of questions to ask each other. Not everyone followed that rule. You kind of make it up as you go. You were not supposed to ask where the person lives, last name, or place of employment/location. Finally, you check off “yes, no, or friends.” If there is a match then you will be set-up on a date. Simple! Continue reading

Thoughts on You Can Heal Your Life

So, I was very fortunate to watch Louise Hay’s movie You Can Heal Your Life. Our community bookstore, Changing Hands Bookstore, showed the movie for FREE! Way to go CHB! This bookstore is AWESOME! It is not your typical “corporate type” bookstore. It is very eclectic and diverse. The people who work at the store are cool! I get the impression that most of them are “artistic” in some way; very nice! Anyway, I decided to write-up a little review of the movie, comment on the views of the movie, and give my thoughts about the subject. Ready… Continue reading

The Art of Letting Go

Often times I’ve heard “Let Go and Let God or Let Go.” Sometimes it is easier said than done. On the other hand, things happen in life that may make you say “I surrender.” That’s what I did the week of March 7. I decided to surrender, release, and relax. I have been obsessed with “changing my thoughts/changing my life and “carving out” a new life for myself in Arizona. Yes, I did say obsessed! Who knew! I was wound so tight and focused on my desires for my life that they were consuming me 24/7. Two specific topics are MONEY and CAREER!! Ok, I may as well throw in relationships. All I thought about 24/7 is “how will I bring in more money?” Will I be able to make money doing what I love utilizing my creative talents and abilities? I re-discovered my love of writing, especially creative writing. Will I be able to make money from my writing? What about making new friends? What about relationships; family, intimate, career, etc…? Too many questions… Continue reading
